I have confirmed that the BlackBerry 8800 is in internal data testing with Cingular. Since the device utilizes built-in WiFi with UMA/GAN support, it was a likely candidate for T-Mobile, who is unleashing their UMA technology over the next few months. This version of 8800 will not feature a camera; however the much anticipated camera model should be launching on T-Mobile USA in Spring 2007 (April being the whispered month). Cingular has been the first to market with all the more recent godsend QWERTY BlackBerry handhelds (7290, 8700), so it appears they will follow suit with this immaculate device with a limited exclusivity period. Stay tuned for more information – quite possibly never-before-seen pictures!
