I’m sure we have all heard of the proposed merger of AT&T and Bellsouth, which contains Cingular Wireless. Friday that merger was complete. In effect it has created one of the worlds largest communications and entertainment companies. AT&T issued a press release stating a summary of plans for the future regarding advertising, its plan to offer packaged solutions to consumers (you know phone, TV, and internet for one low price), and of course its vision for the future of Cingular Wireless. "AT&T will re-brand Cingular through a co-branded transition, which is scheduled to start in 2007. Details regarding the Cingular branding will be announced at a later date." Who knows what the end logo will look like or what the official brand name will be. Will former AT&T customers revert back to AT&T? Wait…you mean we have to switch sim cards again? Keep it here for up to date info as it arrives but for now just keep looking at the logo on your phone bill.
