Word on the tech street is that a company is now providing VoIP service to OQO 2 customers, you know the one we’re doing a review on? VoIP combined with UMPC’s is nothing new, but the inclusion of a Verizon Ev-DO card opens up a world of possibilities. In conjunction with a standard Bluetooth headset, users are able to make free unlimited voice calls over the Verizon data network. This effectively eliminates the need for a traditional cell phone plan. Monthly costs amount to around $50 for the Verizon data service and $20 for the unlimited VOIP plan, making this an attractive alternative to footing a cell bill on top of your existing data plan.
