at&t Brings Mobile Banking to the cell phone

at&t/Cingular has struck deals with a number of US banks to allow you to manage your bank account right from your cell phone. Soon if you use Wachovia, BancorpSouth, Regions Financial, and SunTrust among others you will be able to pay bills right from your cell phone. No more sitting down to balance the check book, just a few key presses and the car payment is made.

Overseas the ability to pay for items via your cell phone has been a feature that’s been available for a while. While we sadly can’t swipe and go like they do, it is a step in liberating us from carrying around a wallet full of plastic cards, hopefully
