Mobile Banking is all the rage

Earlier in the week we brought you stories about VeriSign and Visa allowing mobile transactions to be made, as well as at&t offering mobile banking partnerships. Well it looks like our Canadian neighbors upnorth don’t want to be left out either. ClairMail will be launching a strategic partnership with TELUS starting Monday to offer 2-way financial transctions to take place via the cell phone in Canada. This new agreement won’t even require any new software to be downloaded, but instead uses SMS, mobile email and mobile web browsers. The service will send 2-way alerts on suspicious account activity, transaction approvals, or any other item that would require customer interaction. The ClairMail solution even exceeded the strict requirements the US has on mobile transactions.

Thanks, Jeremy
