It’s no secret that Wu-Tang producer and Kung-Fu lover RZA, is a fan of Roland’s line of sampling and sequencing workstations, having been a supporter and paid endorser since the original MV units came out a while back. Roland has recently released an update to their flagship MV-8800 and they called on their old friend to give his thoughts. This was issued in the form of a canned press release, so don’t expect any candid review material, but it’s an interesting read nonetheless, as the producer seems overwhelmingly happy with the new piece of hardware. As software becomes more prevalent in the music production world, it’s always nice to see a hardware manufacturer step their game up and try to keep pace.
