Adobe, developers of an incredible array of powerful media software, has announced plans to release a media player and library management application, much like Windows Media Player and iTunes. The player, creatively dubbed Adobe Media Player, will integrate flash playback alongside traditional support for a multitude of file formats. Adobe Media Player will also allows for distribution and monetization of content, paving the way for a music and/or video store. No word on a release date or price point (we’re thinking free?)
