Google rounds out Office Suite with Powerpoint

Google’s Docs and Spreadsheets is an excellent and useful implementation of Web 2.0 technology, while serving as a viable alternative to Microsoft’s Office programs. Up until now, Google Docs has had a significant drawback due to it’s lack of any presentation capabilities, providing few options for those in need of a Powerpoint application. Hoping to complete their office suite and hammering yet another nail in Microsoft’s coffin, Google announced today that they will be adding a Powerpoint application to their array of online business tools. Expect this to launch in beta form (as if there’s any other way for Google to handle a product!) relatively soon.
