On Monday, April 16, 2007, on the campus of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in Blacksburg, Virginia, a gunman killed thirty-two people and injured another twenty-nine before committing suicide, making it the deadliest school shooting and one of the deadliest killing sprees in modern U.S. history.

In memory of those who who lost their life or were severely injured in this tragedy, we have placed a Black Ribbon with a VT in our main header. Virginia Tech’s homepage has a list of those victims who have been identified by family members or next of kin, along with more information surrounding the shootings.

We have made the above Black Ribbon logo available for those who want to show their support for those involved with Virginia Tech and the tragedy that has affected a nation by adding it to their own websites, forum avatars or signatures, etc. These can be found in JPG (white background) and PNG (transparent background) formats. Thanks to jibi as usual for the flawless header integration.
