While talking on the phone mid-air may of been shot down recently, Australia’s largest airline, Qantas, is going to test a program that will allow passengers to send text messages while up in the steel bird. Qantas has chosen a Boeing 767 as their test craft, but isn’t informing passengers about the test until they’re on board. Text messages and emails are the only items allowed to be sent, as voice calling will be blocked. If this program is successful, it might be expanded to the entire fleet. Let’s hope it works well because I just might want to get my mobile freak on while hangin’ in the sky.
