Here’s one for those of you that really hate getting up off of the couch to answer the phone. Vonage Text scans subscriber’s voicemail, transcribes and converts them into email, and delivers the reformatted messages into your inbox. No longer will we have to be burdened with lifting the all-too-heavy phone to our all-too-lofty ears. Phew! On a serious note, this could be a pretty useful servicethat gives users with mobile access to email the ability to check and respond to their home voicemail. The transcribed email also includes an attached audio file with the original message for any of those crazy words that might not make it through the speech-to-text conversion. It’s available now as an account add-on for current Vonage subscribers, but keep in mind that this is a pay-per-use service, so be prepared to see you monthly bill inflate accordingly.
