Bang & Olufson’s Beolab 9 speakers spice up your stereo

The Beolab 9 speakers from Bang & Olufson might just save you from natural selection. They’re so svelte, so clearly modern, that simply by purchasing them, you must be demonstrating that you’ve reached a more highly evolved state. Designed and shaped like a hand-held megaphone, these cone-shaped speakers each have a 10" woofer and a dedicated 400 Watt power amp featuring "Adaptive Bass Linearisation." The center of each cone speaker features a 5" "sealed pressure chamber" to handle the mid-range frequencies. The Beolabs come in Black, Grey, Blue, and Red, and should run you a cool $9,000 a pair.
