Disky is a company with a vision. Imagining a world full of people listening to the same songs on repeat, they decided to put their dreams into action. Touching down in the Netherlands, Disky is currently selling 4 different iterations of a single concept, a flash-based MP3 player preloaded with music. The players feature pre-defined playlists featuring everything from “romantic songs” to “songs for fitness and running”. The real deal-breaker, or deal-maker depending on where you’re coming from, is that there is no way to get the music off of the player. This all but guarantees a slow, painful descent into madness, induced by repetitive consumption of the same music. Wait, doesn’t that sound like American radio? 19.90 Euros in the Netherlands if you feel like taking the plunge, but don’t say we didn’t warn you.
