Well not really, but a recent study certainly paints GMail users in a far more favorable light than Yahoo Mail and Hotmail fiends. It seems that GMail users tend to be early adopters of new technology, have a higher average income, and are of a younger average age. GMail, which currently garners 17% web-based email traffic, can boast a user base that is more than half (54%) composed of people between the ages of 18 and 34. In addition, over 18% of Gmail users have an annual household income of between $100,000 and $149,999, compared with 15% for Hotmail and 13% for Yahoo Mail. Come on, Yahoo! Get thee out of the peasant class! As avid GMail users ourselves. this new info simply confirms what we already knew: BGR is smarter, sexier, and wealthier than most! Now let’s commission a survey that polls the average income brackets and age for BlackBerry Curve owners.
