Lifehack.org has 10 great tips on how to get the most from everyone’s favorite RSS feed reader. At least a damn good free one anyway. Some of these tips and tricks include sorting feeds by priority, that way on a busy day you know which ones to absolutely read, and which ones can afford the "I really couldn’t care less treatment", and installing the Smart Google Reader Subscribe button to easily add feeds right to your Reader. Keyboard shortcuts are another one with commonly used shortcuts being:

j/k: item down/up
o: open/close item
s: toggle star
m: mark as read/unread
t: tag an item

There’s also a whole bunch more. Yes, these could have all been found by either checking out Google Reader’s help section, and/or by scouring the internet, but it is nice to have them all in one place as these are some of the essential tips and tricks.
