Picture frames are boring. Sure it’s nice to have a picture of a loved one resting atop your mantle, but what happens when you grow tired of your grandmother’s face, or simply can’t stand to look at that smug look plastered on the cheating eyes of your ex-girlfriend? The eStarling 2.0 WiFi picture frame might be able to help you out. The 2.0 is, quite clearly, the second iteration of the company’s WiFi frame concept. The first model was reputedly plagued by quality control and functionality issues. We can only hope that the company has gone back to the drawing board with this one, but any sort of hands-on test will be the ultimate judge. Nonetheless, the spec’s look mighty tasty. The frame features a web-based interface that allows you to change, upload, alter, and delete photos from any internet equipped PC. You can also select a Flickr photo feed to stream to your eStarling. It allows you to send in photos from your cell phone, giving you complete photo displaying freedom. We can’t quite figure out why anyone would have the need to consistently change the contents of their picture frame while not at home, but it could make an interesting practical joke…imagine the possibilities. No specific release date has been set, but expect it to retail for $249.99 whenever it drops.
