Motorola announces RAZR2

You all remember it right? My good friend Chris from Engadget received a tip on an unannounced Motorola phone, and he had asked me to find out some information on it. Low and behold BGR’s info was correct: it is called the RAZR2, and will be available in GSM, and CDMA variants. Looking oh so svelte, the RAZR2 smashes the little sibling before it in every arena possible. For starters it is thinner, has an impressively huge external touch screen which actually will give you tactile feedback when using it, and is said to have iron-clad strength. There were 3 models announced in the RAZR2 family, one being the V8 (EDGE), the V9 (HSDPA), and the V9m (EV-DO). These should drop starting in June, with Verizon to follow suit later in the summer. I’m not sure this was the "iPhone killer" everyone had hoped, but at the end of the day its a nice phone, a great step in the right direction, and seeing from the amount of coverage so far, Moto might have a real RAZR sucessor on it’s hands.
