A recent report released by the Business Software Alliance identifies countries with some of the highest and lowest rates of software privacy. Top of the list: Armenia. It seems that the average Armenian computer is running 95% pirated software. Yowza! That’s a lot of pirated software, and it kind of makes you wonder as to what that 5% of legally obtained licenses consists of. Rounding out the top five were Moldova with 94%, Azerbaijan with 94%, Zimbabwe with 91%, and Vietnam with 88%. On the flip side of the coin, the countries that have the lowest rates of privacy are the Unites States with an average of 21% stolen software, New Zealand with 22%, Japan with 25%, Denmark with 25%, and a three way tie between Austria, Switzerland, and Sweden with 26%. Are you guys too legit to quit, or in pirate heaven?
