Halo 3 gets solid release date
That’s right, folks. Your favorite otherworldly, first-person shooter is set to drop on September 25th. The official release announcement comes after Microsoft made public its plans to offer an quasi-open beta of the Xbox 360 game, a somewhat unique move in the world of console games. While all games go through an intensive internal review process, rarely are such games released for public trial. Whether this move signifies an increased desire for a well polished final product, a significantly back-logged development process, or some combination of the two remains to be seen, as those of us who weren’t lucky enough to get in on the beta will have to wait until the end of September to pass judgment. Or we can just buy Crackdown, get our Halo 3 beta invite and we’re hip! Bring it on, Master Chief!
