Yahoo Raises the Stakes with Online Poker

Yahoo has launched a play for cash online poker site. Now you are saying to yourself, wasn’t online poker outlawed in the US? Yes it was. Yahoo’s new online poker game is available on their UK and Ireland sites, but registration is allowed from any country besides the US and Gibraltar (we tried). With your initial deposit you get an extra $1,000 bonus to their account. Yahoo is trying to limit losses by allowing only GBP1000 from their bank account to be withdrawn every ten days. They also have a responsible gaming guide posted. This seems a large step away from Yahoo trying to create a wholesome image, and family friendly sites, but at the end of the day there is way too much money to be made on poor poker fiends like us. There is no client to download, but rather the game is played in a flash window. There is a free (practice) version you can play as well if you aren’t willing to risk your hard earned money. As with all gambling, remember to play responsibility, make sure to save yourself enough to buy that latest smartphone.
