Online auction sites seem to be quite the gold mine these days for those on the hunt for pre-release units. Apple iPhones are popping up all over eBay, and now a Polish auction site is listing a "Sony X123i" Walkman phone up for sale. The auction claims that the handset is a prototype version of Sony’s upcoming W850 successor. Whatever the ultimate fate of the model nomenclature, this is one hot little handset. Slider form factor, 16.7 million color LCD, 2 megapixel camera, undisclosed 3G band support, and a front facing VGA camera all sitting on a .49" thick platform. Hot! The phone is currently going for roughly $711 dollars, but expect the price to skyrocket as the auction grinds to a halt. The pre-production unit looks to be pretty clean, hopefully indicating that a commercial launch could be imminent. Click on for some juicy pics and Polish-language love.
