Sprint 8830 delayed until mid-July?

A popular BlackBerry forum is placing Sprint’s release of the BlackBerry 8830 Worldphone a full month after its initially rumored release date. This seems entirely possible, given Verizon’s recent rollout issues, and Sprint’s general track record for botched/delayed release dates. As predictable as this might be, it’s still a significant blow to Sprint subscribers that were looking forward to getting their hands on the newest ‘Berry. Argh. No specifics were given as to why the date has been pushed back, though we can bet that it has nothing to do with increased functionality. Could it be that RIM is having some supply issues? Coupled with Verizon’s low stock at launch, this seems to be the most logical explanation. For once the best guess doesn’t fault Sprint.
