Google threatens to pull Gmail from Germany

Dubbed a complement to its anti-terrorist measures, Germany is proposing an end to all anonymous e-mail. Should they do that, Google has said they will pull their Gmail from the country. Currently, users can sign up anonymously for its Google Mail (dubbed that because Gmail is copyrighted in Germany). This new proposed set of laws would eliminate anonymous e-mail, to which Google responds, "nuh-uh." They claim it violates the preservation of privacy that current Gmail users enjoy. Wait…isn’t Google the same company in its own legal battle claiming they should reduce the time in which they keep a consumer’s personal data, which is currently 2 years? Shhhhh…
