CBS hooks up an SMS alert system

Tired of rushing to your home theater, cracking a cold one and sitting back in the easy chair, only to realize that the newest episode of Who Thinks They Can Dance Like a Monkey has been pushed due to extended coverage of an oh so boring "sports" game? Never again, friends. CBS’s new SMS system is designed avert such catastrophes, alerting users if their "regularly scheduled programming" gets pushed back due to extended sports, news, or Steam Pipe coverage. Pretty sweet so long as they don’t farm your phone numbers out for marketing purposes. Let’s hope the other more content rich networks follow suit.
