We’re certainly not the first on the block with this news, but these images are so darn pretty that we just had to share them with you. An anonymous tipster dropped some images of what is assumed to be the new slimline iMac keyboard. It is, in a word, beautiful. About 1mm thick, the keys closely resemble those on the current generation Macbook. It’s an unconventional design, but one that we feel to be an excellent compromise between size and function. The keys are surrounded by brushed metal, lending credence to the rumor that the impending iMac update will include a healthy dose of silver, a la the current Cinema display line. The biggest departure here? The "Apple" key no longer sports the Apple logo, supposedly in the interest of not "confusing" new users. Aren’t Macs supposed to be the easy ones? Oh well. A hot design is a hot design. Bring on the iMac update, Cupertino!
