Sprint Nextel: Direct Connect name to stay
Sprint Nextel has certainly worked to redefine its marketing strategy in the post-merger years, and it continues to do so with the continuation of the ‘Direct Connect’ branding. The Nextel Direct Connect brand will be used to define all push-to-talk services, "regardless of network platform." This announcement coincides with Sprint’s launch of CDMA/iDEN compatible push-to-talk phones, available next year. Sprint additionally noted that these new CDMA PTT phones will be in a variety of sizes, shapes, and types. Read more below!
