Mozilla launches Thunderbird into the wild

Mozilla, everyone’s favorite open source powerhouse, has decided to launch it’s Thunderbird mail client as a uniquely branded offering. Attempting to make a larger dent in the email game, Mozilla will establish Thunderbird as an autonomous company, offering a wide range of internet mail-based services, programs, and other services. By further fortifying the Thunderbird brand, Mozilla seems to think that consumers will flock towards its mail client in droves. Sound likely? With the email market bring so overly saturated, we think this is an uphill battle for them. It’s a good idea, but our "suggestion", would be to focus on increasing the stability of Firefox before heading out into uncharted territory. Just our two cents…
