If the past couple of years have proven anything, it’s that automated voice-to-text conversion services are generally, well, pretty awful. Spitting in the face of history, Line1 has decided to enter the market with a service that promises to deliver your voicemail to your email inbox, all in a matter of heart-wrenching seconds. Simply named SpinVox, this service sounds too good to be true. To be fair, they’re marketing this service towards professionals who work in noisy environments, yet need immediate access to their voice messages, such as stock brokers and public policy officials. We could also see a potential application for the disabled and hard of hearing who may, for whatever reason, be unable to access a traditional voicemail box. For all the doubters and non-believers, Line1 is offering a free week of service to anyone inclined to take the plunge. Come on…you know you want to.
