Paper-thin Surround Sound Speaker from Japan
After seeing images and the video from this Japanese trade show it looks like "digital paper" isn’t the only ultra-thin technology we have to look forward to. Japanese researchers have managed to create a prototype of a paper-thin speaker that not only has decent sound quality but also is capable of creating a virtual surround sound experience. The speaker is clear and flexible; in fact the posts securing it can be moved into different holes on the base to change the speaker shape right at the show.
