It has been over a decade since the last unique installment in the Street Fighter franchise was released, and lately we’ve been hearing and reading quite a bit about the upcoming game that will put an end to the dry spell. An animated trailer of Street Figher IV was released a little over a month ago, but until recently we hadn’t yet been privy to images of actual gameplay. Upon first glance at the screen caps from this upcoming 3D fighter, it’s safe to say that we can’t wait for SFIV to be released! Producer Yoshinori Ono is heading up the highly anticipated project and from the look of things, he is doing a spectacular job. So far Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and Dhalsim are confirmed characters in SFIV, and we expect more details soon as the first video preview of gameplay is set to be published this week. For the time being, there is no word as to which consoles will be graced with this instant classic but a PS3 / Xbox 360 release is probably a safe bet.
