This could be nothing more than a simple error on Best Buy’s website, but if the specs for the new Windows-XP-equipped Eee PC are indeed correct, it looks like Asus might have some explaining to do. According to BestBuy.com, the newest flavor of Eee PC doesn’t include the original model’s SD memory card reader. Considering the measly 4GB’s of onboard storage, the SD slot allowed for storage upgrades that many Eee-users deemed crucial. Asus also appears to have reduced the warranty from 2 years to 1 year, again without explanation. Sounds a little suspicious to us, but until we get our hands on a production model, we’ll be left searching for answers. Sometimes life can be so cruel.
