Just three days ago we told you about the security issues with iSkoot’s S60 application that were discovered over this past  weekend. We still don’t like the way that iSkoot handles Skype calling – using a data connection for updates and chat along with a voice connection, cellular minutes and Skype credit for voice calling – but we have to give them credit. In less than a week since its security issues were outted, iSkoot has issued an update that [re]implements SSL encryption to secure most of the data flow. Any data of a sensitive nature is covered and only some non-personal data is sent through in the clear. If only all developers responded so quickly! Kudos, iSkoot.
