We’re not sure if anxious Spaniards will be more or less upset by this news, but we now have an explanation of the massive 54% premium found on Nokia Spain’s pre-order page for the 5800 XpressMusic. Like it or not, the extra €150 can be accounted for as follows: a mandatory €100 Nokia Music Store voucher and three months worth of Nokia Maps subscriptions. Sheesh. Apparently each country can basically bundle whatever it wants with the 5800 for the holidays. The base price is still €279 but expect to see various locales use the new handset to increase sales on various ill-performing services between now and the end of the year. How sneaky. Come January, the 5800 should be available solo at the originally-announced and very reasonable €279 price point.
