Moto ZN300 pops up on Motorola site
While T-Mobile fights to move the Motorola ZN5 — having just closed yet another day of offering the 5 megapixel feature phone for free with a new contract — Motorola has made yet another photo-centric dumb phone official. The ZN300, first spied back in January, is now live on Motorola’s site and while it sports some fairly decent specs for an entry to mid-level handset, it certainly doesn’t have that spark Moto desperately needs to start firing up its lineup with. The phone does target some key demographics that it wouldn’t hurt to go after however, boasting of various social networking and blogging/sharing capabilities. Specs:
- Quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), CDMA / TD SCDMA
- 240 x 320 pixel QVGA display
- 3.1 megapixel camera, 8x digital zoom, LED flash
- 15-20 fps video capture and playback
- Video Mixer (on-device video editing, transition and sound effects)
- Facebook, YouTube and MySpace apps
- 3.5mm headset jack
- Opera browser
- 8MB of internal memory
- MicroSDHC support
- Talk time: up to 435 minutes
- Stand-by time: up to 400 hours
- 3.76 x 1.8 x 0.58 inches, 3.6 ounces
Yep, nothing too exciting here. Moto hasn’t yet provided anything as far as release timing or pricing yet but TD SCDMA obviously points to China. The quad-band GSM antenna on the other hand, leaves things pretty open. All the same, we’re not so sure any tears would be shed if this little guy never manages to find his way to US shores.
