This whole thing is a little murky, but we’ve come across information on a BlackBerry Curve 8520 and it lines up exactly with what we’ve reported on the Gemini as far as specs go. Those, as a refresher, are:

  • 320×240 resolution screen
  • Wi-Fi 802.11b/g (no draft n)
  • Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE
  • OS 5.0
  • Changeable faceplates possible (Via CrackBerry.com)
  • 2 megapixel camera (possibly no camera model as well)

It makes sense that this would be the new “low cost” Curve for “emerging markets” as it was put to us. Nothing groundbreaking, but a nice little bit of information nonetheless
