During a recent presentation, Nokia’s CEO asked a large group of his employees to put away all cameras and recording devices because he was about to show something “top secret,” that he didn’t want leaked on the “blogosphere.” Oops… that’s exactly what just happened. The image above is of Nokia’s new Windows Phone, codenamed “Sea Ray.” While there’s little information on it now, it appears that it’s made out of plastic — a bummer if you’re like us and were waiting for a unibody aluminum Windows Phone from the Finnish company. Elop confirms there’s a gorilla glass display and a “pillow shaped backing.” A camera and shutter button are also visible, and we presume there’s either an 8-megapixel or 12-megapixel camera sensor, although that’s unclear. The device reminds us a lot of the N9, but if Nokia is already showing it to large groups of people, we suspect there will be plenty more leaks in the coming months. Elop recently confirmed that his company is on track to release its first Windows Phone by the end of this year. Hit the jump for a video of Elop discussing the Sea Ray.
