French news site Nowhereelse.fr on Friday published the very first photos of Apple’s (AAPL) long-rumored new dock connector that is slated to debut in the next-generation iPhone. The images show the relatively small connector, which appears to have 9 pins and is significantly smaller than the classic 30-pin dock connector. Earlier this week, the same site published photos showcasing the iPhone’s nano-SIM tray, home button, internal sensors and a metal backing that will be used to protect the handset’s display. Apple is expected to unveil its next-generation iPhone on September 12th and the device is rumored to be equipped with 1GB of RAM, NFC and 4G LTE connectivity.
