Apple&#8217;s promotion this year offers less than half the back-for-your-buck compared to past promotions that offered a free iPod touch with each purchase, but $100 toward software for your new Mac computer on top of a 10% student discount still makes for a decent deal. Apple&#8217;s offer runs from now through September 20th, so students have more than enough time to wait for that <a href="http://www.bgr.com/2011/06/14/refreshed-macbook-air-expected-later-this-month/">imminent MacBook Air refresh</a> we&#8217;ve all been expecting.<span id="more-93810"></span></p>

<blockquote><p><strong>T-Mobile USA and Samsung Mobile Introduce Two New Feature-Rich and Budget-Friendly Android™-Powered Handsets</strong></p>
<p><em>Expected to become available this month, the Samsung Exhibit™ 4G and Samsung Gravity™ SMART will each deliver on-the-go entertainment and connectivity for less than $100</em></p>
<p>T-Mobile USA, Inc. and Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung Mobile), the No. 1 mobile phone provider in the U.S. 1, today announced the upcoming availability of two new feature-rich Android™-powered handsets, the Samsung Exhibit™ 4G and Samsung Gravity™ SMART, each less than $100 after a $50 mail-in rebate and with a qualifying rate plan on a two-year agreement.</p>
<p>“The Samsung Exhibit 4G and Samsung Gravity SMART will expand T-Mobile’s product portfolio to include two affordable options for customers who crave rich connectivity and unique entertainment experiences,” said Andrew Sherrard, senior vice president, product management, T-Mobile USA. “T-Mobile is continuing to help families easily make the move to smartphones with these new Android-powered handsets, together with data plans as low as $10 per month, all running on America’s largest 4G network™.”</p>
<p>“The Samsung Exhibit 4G and Samsung Gravity SMART are two examples of Samsung’s commitment to delivering quality smartphones at a variety of price points,” said Dale Sohn, president, Samsung Mobile. “The Samsung Exhibit 4G shows Samsung’s dedication to delivering premium entertainment content, while the Samsung Gravity SMART builds on the success of our Gravity line of phones with premium messaging options, both at an exceptional value.”</p>
<p><strong>Samsung Exhibit 4G</strong></p>
<p>One of the fastest smartphones running on America’s Largest 4G Network™2, the Samsung Exhibit 4G is a full-featured, touch-screen device that does not compromise on rich entertainment capabilities. Built to deliver a premium messaging experience, the Gravity SMART comes equipped with Group Text™ and combines a spacious, horizontal, four-row, slide-out, QWERTY keyboard with a 3.2-inch touch-screen display featuring Swype™ for easy text input, even with the keyboard closed. In addition, pin it notes enables customers to pin important messages to Gravity SMART’s home screen for quick reference.</p>
<p>Keeping in touch with friends and family is easy and fun with the Gravity SMART, which features integration with popular social networking sites and a full HTML Web browser for posting and viewing status updates. The Gravity SMART also includes a 3-megapixel camera with LED flash, digital zoom and a camcorder for capturing photos and videos.</p>
<p>The Samsung Exhibit 4G and the Gravity SMART offer access to more than 200,000 applications available on Android Market™ and full integration with Google Mobile™ services.</p>
<p><strong> </strong></p>

<p>Just one week after the nation&#8217;s No. 1 carrier finally unleashes <a href="http://www.bgr.com/tag/verizon-iphone/">its iPhone 4</a> on the world, Verizon Wireless may have another handset launch waiting in the wings. Granted, with <a href="http://www.bgr.com/2011/01/04/hp-holding-webos-event-february-9th/">HP&#8217;s webOS event</a> less than a week away and the possibility of exciting new tablets and smartphones dancing through our heads, it&#8217;s not easy to get excited about an incremental upgrade from last year&#8217;s debut webOS phone. Granted, the Palm Pre 2 offers some nice improvements over its predecessor, such as a faster processor, a glass screen and the new webOS 2.0 operating system — but you&#8217;ll forgive us if a 3.1-inch display and that teeny tiny QWERTY keypad don&#8217;t exactly get our engines revving here in 2011. On the other hand, we do absolutely love the webOS operating system and $99.99 is a fair price point for Palm&#8217;s latest phone, especially if there&#8217;s a BOGO sale involved. If the screen shot above pans out, expect Verizon to finally let this little guy loose on February 17th.<span id="more-75351"></span></p>

Those reports have been confirmed, with the 16GB Wi-Fi model quickly selling out at most TJ Maxx stores with that amazing price. The Twilight music isn&#8217;t getting any softer, however, as now Marshall&#8217;s stores are also retailing the device for $399. Who knows, but $399 for Apple&#8217;s 10-inch tablet with no contract is the best deal on the planet, and they sure as heck know that.</p>

Let&#8217;s look at what we&#8217;ve got: Sprint&#8217;s Pre is coded as 100, or P100 in internal systems. At Verizon, it&#8217;s pretty safe to assume the Pre has been dubbed P101 as we&#8217;ve seen several references to it. We&#8217;ve seen the 120 referenced earlier as well, and it was always thought to be the Eos. As both carriers are rumored to be getting Palm&#8217;s Centro replacement in the near future, the Eos being designated as 12x might still be a safe bet. As for what the C40 could be however, we&#8217;re stumped. If the C40 is actually the Eos and the 120 is a refreshed Pre of some sort, why does Verizon have both the P101 and P121 in its inventory right now? Does Big Red plan to launch 8GB and 16GB Pre models simultaneously, a la older iPhone models? Hit the comments and let us know what you think.</p>
