Images and specifications of Verizon’s next incredible handset — the HTC DROID Incredible 2 — have made their way onto the Internet. The crew over at AndroidSpin have acquired four images of the device along with a handful of specifications. What can we expect from the DROID Incredible 2? The site’s source asserts that the DI2 will have a 4-inch Super LCD WVGA display, 1GHz Qualcomm MSM 8655 processor, 4GB of on-board storage, 768MB of RAM, 8 megapixel rear-facing camera, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, 1450mAh battery, and Gingerbread (Android 2.3) with the Sense UI experience. The site notes that the handset is currently running Froyo (Android 2.2), but expects the device to ship with the updated operating system. It looks like Sprint is adding the Sanyo Innuendo to its feature phone lineup. The Innuendo, like the Incognito, is a horizontal-flip, full-QWERTY keyboard device with a “concealed external dial pad that glows through the phone’s luxurious mirrored finish and then disappears when not in use.” The device has a 2.8-inch internal display, 1.3-inch OLED external display, 3.2 megapixel camera that can also take video, GPS navigation, proximity sensor, and micro-SD card slot. The device is $49.99 with a 2-year contract or $249.99 at full retail.

Yesterday, Verizon Wireless launched its first handset from manufacturer ZTE, the Salute. The Salute is a candybar shaped vertical slider-phone with a 2.4-inch scree, 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and is VZ Navigator capable. The feature phone will retail for $19.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate. Let’s just hope ZTE doesn’t venture into the high-end phone market anytime soon, as a ZTE LTE handset would be a mouthful. Today, Sprint announced yet another affordable handset from Samsung in the m350 Seek. Despite it being another sleepy Sunday, yesterday Samsung decided it was good timeto announce four new entry-level handsets that it hopes will prove popular with the average consumer. Starting off with the S6700 that Samsung has previously shown off at various trade shows, we find a dual-band HSDPA slider with a 2.4-inch QVGA display, 3 megapixel camera with auto-focus and dual-LED flash, GPS and 120MB of internal memory plus microSDHC support. Next up we have the C5510 with its basic 2 megapixel shooter, smaller 2.2-inch QVGA display and microSDHC support. Taking a more music-centric approach is the M2510, which has dedicated music keys, a 3.5mm headphone jack, DNSe audio enhancement, FM radio tuner with RDS and a 1.3 megapixel camera. Finally we have the M2310, the only clam shell device in the bunch and easily the most underwhelming handset we’ve seen in quite some time. It has a VGA camera, 9MB of internal memory, 8GB microSD support and quad-band EDGE connectivity. Pricing and availability for the S6700, C5510, M2510 and M2310 have yet to be announced.

We’ve just received this little nugget from one of our ninjas about an upcoming handset for T-Mobile, the Samsung T349. While the device itself is nothing too fancy, it is nonetheless a pretty interesting device in that T-Mobile has describes it internally as a “20-key messaging phone.” Despite the blurriness of the image above, we are able to see that the entry-level T349 indeed features a keypad much like the SureType keypads found on the BlackBerry Pearl and Pearl Flip. Specs are as follows:

Covet your costly and feature-rich touchscreen phones as you wish but in this day and age, forking over big bucks for a phone just isn’t always the smart way to go. While this may be one of the facts of life, carriers such as Orange are doing their best to deliver feature-rich handsets at low prices. One such device is the newly announced Orange Vegas. Available in both black and pink, the dual-band GPRS touchscreen device features a 2.4-inch display, 1.3 megapixel camera, FM radio, MP3 playback, 128MB of internal memory and support for a microSD card up to 4GB — all packed into a handset that weighs 84g. The price? A totally affordable £48.50 ($71 USD) on pay-as-you-go. The best part? When a Vegas user tops up his or her account with £10, it comes along with 300 free texts, a £10 credit and unlimited access to Bebo, Facebook and MySpace. Something tells us this thing will sell pretty darn well. The only thing we might take issue with is the choice of name — Vegas is anything but cheap and sensible.

While there has yet to be a formal announcement of any new handsets, some eagle-eyed observers noticed two new handsets from Kyocera for sale on Virgin Mobile’s website. Being Virgin Mobile phones, they’re not much to write home about but given the current economic climate we’re in, it’s a given that these phones will garner more interest than they would during prosperous times. Starting off with what is nothing more than a Virgin-branded S1300 Melo, the JAX is a plain Jane candybar that features… a color screen. Moving on to the more promising of the two, the X-tc sports a full-QWERTY slider, QVGA display, 1.3 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth and comes pre-loaded with a Facebook and MySpace application. Not bad at all for a $100 phone.

Well lookie here — right on queue, the LG Rumor 2 gets all official with our pals at Sprint. Starting March 15th, past, present and future Sprint customers will be able to order the the slider-QWERTY for $49.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. Aimed squarely at crazy text-obsessed youths, the Rumor 2 has a QVGA display, 1.3 megapixel camera (perfect for sexting), GPS, stereo Bluetooth, microSDHC support (up to 16GB) and a crummy 2.5mm headphone jack. Now for the strange part. As we said above, you can order the Rumor 2 starting March 15th, but you will only be able to get it in Black Titanium by visiting Sprint.com or calling 1-800-Sprint-1. However, if you can hold out until the 29th you will be able to order the phone in Vibrant Blue through the same channels. If you can manage to hibernate until April 19th, the Rumor 2 will be available in all retail outlets. kthxbai.

Last week we scooped it like gelato and this week Verizon has gone and made it official; the CDM8975 will be up for grabs come March 9th. Going for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate, the CDM8975 isn’t all that bad of a phone for those whose jobs require that they have a Push to Talk-enabled handset. And while it may not be the most rugged handset in its class, the 8975 does have a 1.3 megapixel camera, V CAST Music/Video, stereo Bluetooth, microSD slot, EVDO Rev. A connectivity and a glorious internal antenna packed into its matte black clam shell body. Ordinarily we wouldn’t think too many people would be interested in this phone enough to give it a second mention, but with the recently passed stimulus relying upon workers to revamp America’s crumbling infrastructure who knows — the demand for such a phone might just be there.

Rogers has just launched three new handsets in the LG Secret, Samsung Gravity and Samsung Propel. Starting off with what is arguably the pick of the pack, the LG Secret has a 2.4″ QVGA touchscreen display, 5 megapixel camera with AF and 30 fps video recording, accelerometer and dual-band HSDPA connectivity. When it arrives in shops it will go for $249.99 on a 3-year or $149.99 on a 3-year when the $7 unlimited browsing or $15 and up value packs are added (old tricks, eh Rogers?). Moving on to the QWERTY handsets, there really isn’t too much there – though we suppose the Propel will find a nice home where a BlackBerry is just too pricey. A 2.2″ 220×176 display, 1.3 megapixel camera, microSD, stereo Bluetooth and dual-band HSDPA make for a pretty decent package at $49.99 for three years. As for the Gravity, it really has nothing but some QWERTY action going for it, what with its quad-band EDGE, 176×220 display, 1.3 megapixel camera and microSD slot. It’ll run you $29.99 with a 3-year contract, but wow… Can you imagine signing a legal document over this thing?
