We know many of you are close to dying and holding your breath for the awesome Nokia flagship device, the Maemo-packing N900. It was probably a big tease when we told you guys it was going to hit U.S. distribution centers on September 27, but for some untold reason sales planned for October have been delayed and it will go on sale in November. In just days T-Mobile will be making its Even More and Even More Plus plans available, and the N900 will totally support the network’s 3G, and several of our readers are waiting to jump on this handset/carrier combo. Just be prepared to fork over somewhere in the neighborhood of $650 – $700 for the device itself and you’ll be good to go. You’ve waited this long, what’s another week or two?

Ahhh, the Nokia N900. You want it. You need it. You’ve got to have it. If you’re on T-Mobile you’re sitting pretty knowing that 1700 MHz is included in the N900′s three WCDMA bands, just waiting to gobble up T-Mobile’s 3G services. If you’re on AT&T in the US or Rogers up north however, the tears may still be streaming. A glimmer of hope found its way to light last week when rumors that a forthcoming 850/1900/2100 MHz WCDMA version were seemingly substantiated. We just spoke to Nokia however, and yeah… Not so much. Nokia’s official statement:

Regarding the Nokia N900, we have announced a tri-band WCDMA version that utilizes the 900/1700/2100 MHz networks. There have been no announcements regarding a version that supports the 850/1900/2100MHz bands.

As it turns out, The Nokia Blog’s tipster completely fabricated the last line of Nokia’s email — you know, the part that said, “An announcement will be forthcoming” — and the whole story is bogus. We suppose AT&T and Rogers subscribers might be able to keep hope alive considering Nokia still hasn’t flat out denied the possibility of a WCDMA 850/1900/2100 MHz version, but if you ask us it’s time to break out the Ben & Jerry’s and drown your sorrows.

T-Mobile might not be the fastest draw in the West but that won’t stop manufacturers from sprinkling some 3G dust on Tmo-bound handsets any time soon. In fact, three such phones just pushed their way through the FCC approval process and one is of particular interest — but we’ll get there. Let’s start with the fugly flip phone seen above. Reemphasizing our point that LG shouldn’t be tarnishing the Viewty name with a 2 megapixel shooter, this entry level handset from Nokia features a clam shell form factor, a 3.2 megapixel camera with an LED flash, AWS 3G and not much else to speak of. The second handset is also of Nokia pedigree, though nothing is known for the time being beyond the RM-511 model number, clam shell form and the presence of AWS. Last up, and of interest as we mentioned above, is the Motorola T56KV1 — which we know to be the Morrison. “How,” you might ask? Well, it already passed through the FCC back in July. We suspect that new documentation tied to July’s tests has just had its confidentiality lifted ahead of a likely announcement next week, hence the new round of excitement. In any event, 3G-hungry Tmo subscribers will apparently have three new options in the coming months, and options are never a bad thing.

Well T-Mobile subscribers, we wish we had more exciting news for you but alas… Win some, lose some. Pictured above is the upcoming Samsung Scarlet, a skinny feature phone that, despite the category name, is a bit light when it comes to features. Spec highlights include Bluetooth + EDR, a 2 megapixel camera, quad-band GSM, dual-band WCDMA 1700/2100, an MP3 player and a MicroSD card slot. It’s launch was reportedly pushed back to accommodate the Gravity 2 and, well, whatever. The good news we suppose, is the younger generation will now get some 3G love as well — hooray for radiation! Tmonews forum user VtotheZ managed to get his hands on a whole mess of Samsung handsets that will be making their way to T-Mobile US this year. While details are limited for the time being, it certainly looks like there will be something for everyone. First up, pictured above at the top and bottom right, is the Samsung Gravity 2. Featuring dual keypads and a side-sliding form factor, this Gravity replacement will reportedly be available in pink/red and orange/graphite and out before Q4. At the bottom right of the image above, you’ll find the 20-key Samsung T349 we scooped last month which is due out on May 20th. Hit the jump for the goods on two more Tmo-bound 3G Sammys.

Pictured above is a full touchscreen piece with an unknown moniker that should be landing before Q4 as well. All we know so far is that it sports a 3 megapixel camera and TouchWiz. The poster claims that the pricing on this little guy will be “VERY VERY nice” on contract. Sweet.

Last but certainly not least is a unique little dual-screen gem whose name is unknown. Due out this Summer, this Sammy sports a tiny outer display with a standard 0-9 keypad and flips open to reveal a larger internal display with a full QWERTY and a d-pad. It will be available in two color combination at an unknown price point.

On a related note, the poster also claims Samsung’s Android-powered I7500 will indeed be coming to T-Mobile but it won’t launch until November.

Now that T-Mobile US finally has some important regions covered with its historically elusive 3G frequency, more and more AWS-compatible phones are popping up. The most recent — HTC’s Rhodium aka Wing 2, which was first uncovered back in January. The handset, a sleek Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional-powered QWERTY slider, is one of several variants destined for big carriers here in the US. Notable specs include a Qualcomm 7201A processor, 512MB ROM, 256MB RAM, a 3.6-inch WVGA touchscreen display, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, FM Radio and microSDHC support. So, T-Moblers, if you’re looking for a 3G HTC handset with a nice big touchscreen display and a slide-out QWERTY, it looks like this might be just what the doctor ordered.

The recently announced Nokia 5330 XpressMusic handset may be hitting the shelves of your local T-Mobile store in the near future. A leaked mock up of the 5330 XpressMusic reportedly depicts the slider with a fresh coat of light neon blue paint and a T-Mobile USA logo. Rumor suggests that the handset is slated for a summer launch and its radio will indeed sport the always-elusive 1700 MHz 3G band T-Mobile customers are always praying for. Good news for T-Mobilers as the 5330 XpressMusic would be a nice upgrade to the current Nokia 5130 XpressMusic.
