Confirmation: confirmed. HTC (TPE:2498)and carrier partner Telstra told the world earlier this week that Android 4.1 Jelly Bean updates are in the works for the One X and One S, and now the vendor has broadened its scope. HTC told Engadget on Friday that it is indeed working on Jelly Bean updates for a number of local devices including AT&T’s One X and T-Mobile’s One S. “We know HTC fans are excited to get their hands on Google’s latest version of Android,” an HTC spokesperson said. “At this point in time, we can confirm that we have plans to upgrade our HTC One X, HTC One XL and HTC One S to Jelly Bean. Please stay tuned for more updates regarding device upgrades, timing and other details about HTC and Jelly Bean.” We’re big fans of the One X and the One S running Ice Cream Sandwich and as awesome as Jelly Bean is, things can only get better once the updates are finally released.
