Surprise, surprise! Shortly after showing up on YouTube, Nokia has officially announced the Nokia E72 alongside the 5530 XpressMusic at Connection 2009 in Singapore. The E72 is a worthy successor to the E71 with 10.2Mbps capabilities (where networks allow, of course), an integrated compass, S60 3rd Edition FP2 and a 5 megapixel camera. We have to file this one under super-duper-rumor for the time being as zero evidence was provided, but according to Daily Mobile (a blog with a good track record) we may now have some preliminary details on one of Nokia’s upcoming fall handset launches.
