Not everyone wants a super duper smartphone, some people prefer the simplicity of a feature phone and it looks like LG may be sending such a phone to AT&T. A series of leaked spy shots show a customized LG Arena KM900 sporting AT&T branding.  The GT950 will feature a 3 inch, 800×480 touchscreen display, 5 megapixel camera, GPS, WiFi, 8GB of internal memory and LG’s whizbang S-Class UI. No word on pricing or launch date but from the finished look of the product it could be quite soon. Hit the jump for a few more spy shots.

Released in Europe last month, the LG Arena is a handset that easily can get lost amongst the 6,472,891 other full touchscreen handsets spread throughout the show floor this year. While it doesn’t exactly fill any gaps in that realm, it does come with an admirable spec sheet and LG’s new S-Class UI, which is most certainly an upgrade from the company’s earlier efforts. We already saw a bit of LG’s revamped UI on our new phone-crush, the LG GD900, and we really do like it as a supplement for a true smartphone OS. In terms of functionality, it’s not quite what Motorola has achieved with the Evoke’s new Linux-based OS but what it lacks in go it certainly makes up for in show. Sort of. Regardless, the great look of the handset and UI along with the 5 megapixel camera, 3-inch WVGA display, FM transmitter, aGPS, Wi-Fi and the rest of the specs on this able handset will surely appeal to plenty of casual users. Having seen pre-orders in excess of one million units, the LG Arena KM900 clearly struck an emotional chord with mobile crazed customers in the Asian and European markets. Its lack of support for North American HSPA bands made many on this side of the Atlantic rather green with envy however, and they assumed they would not be able to get their hands on the first device to take advantage of the new S-Class 3D interface. Fear not! Thanks to the fine folks at the FCC we now know a variant of the Arena, the KM900QA, is on its way to the US complete with 850 and 1900 MHz HSPA bands. That’s right people — S-Class 3D UI, 480×800 3-inch touchscreen display, 5 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and aGPS… All coming your way soon enough.

LG announced the launch of its newest flagship multimedia phone this morning, the Arena KM900, and now we have yet another handset to lust after as we wonder if it will ever make it to US soil. To start things off, the Arena features the unique 3D S-Class touchscreen User Interface with a cube-based layout comprised of four customizable home screens that provide access to the major features of the phone. LG is pitching the Arena as a multimedia powerhouse that will incorporate both Dolby and DivX technologies but we’ve seen a few handsets recently *cough-Acme i8910-cough* that are certainly more capable in that area. Move past all that and you’re looking at 7.2 Mbps HSDPA support, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, a 3″ touchscreen with 480 x 800 resolution and two cameras (one being a rear-facing 5 megapixel shooter). Additional details on the Arena, along with some surprises from the sound of things, will be announced at LG’s press conference at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
