The new slim and sleek Xbox 360 S can be painted in your choice of 46 custom colors for $175 if you already own the gaming console, or for a reasonable $500 if you buy the system with a custom paint job directly from Colorware. We’ve been impressed with Colorware’s work in the past and highly recommend the service if you want something more than drab black for one of the hubs of your home entertainment system and don’t mind the cost.

If you’re one of the lucky ones that I’ve let follow me on Twitter, you’ll know that yesterday the BGR team hit Fat Joe and Akon’s music video shoot for “One”. Fat Joe’s a BGR buddy, but Akon has eluded our HD camcorders until now. Check out our brief interviews with both of them on the tour bus. Quick takeaways? Joe uses a Boost Mobile i880, Akon uses a BlackBerry Bold, and RIM, AT&T and Colorware need to start cutting us some checks.

Without Colorware we’d be drowning in a sea of boring and dull run-of-the-mill devices. Yeah, we said it! Always one to let you express your inner creativity, Colorware has finally added the BlackBerry Bold to its arsenal of devices, computers, and gadgets. Never one to pass on the opportunity, we’ve got on Bold on the way and we’ll be sure to give you a first look at it when we get it. The only problem? Well, the BlackBerry Bold as you all know isn’t quite available in the USA yet, so the only ones that are using Bolds in the country (for the most part) are people that have unlocked Rogers units. While that’s fine, Colorware currently doesn’t ship to Canada. That leaves you legit Canadians in the dust for now. But look on the bright side, you have Rogers as a best friend. Just don’t let us catch you with our patented BGR color combo, ok?

We’re pretty big fans of Colorware’s excellent customization service here at BGR, so you can imagine our delight when they gave us the heads up this morning. Coloware has just announced that their patented coloration process is now available for the iPhone 3G. Their custom design studio allows you to apply a unique combination of any of 35 different colors to your shiny new iPhone. Unlike many of their other offerings, you won’t be able to purchase a handset directly from them, but their send-in-and-wait service is reliable and relatively quick. The process will run you between $150 and $210, depending on options. Any takers? Yeah, we thought so. In other news, Colorware is launching a “rich and famous” line of products, catering directly to VIPs of all sorts. No word on specifics there, but the service will apparently be available as a multi-tiered offering, though without any more information we’re at a bit of a loss on this one. Oh well…we’ll have a shiny blue BGR iPhone 3G to tide us over until they spill the beans.
