It has been a month since we have heard anything new about the Sony Ericsson C510 “Kate”, the low-end Cybershot Sony has on tap for 2009. Slowly Sony Ericsson is lining up its early 2009 Cybershot portfolio as the first of the three expected Cybershot phones, the Sony Ericsson Kate, has reportedly been given the real name C510. The C510 will be the least-capable model of the three upcoming phones, sporting a 3.2MP camera instead of the 5MP camera found on the candybar Filippa and the high end slider Frances. A few photos of a new 5MP Sony Ericsson Cybershot have been leaked by Cellphonesail. The new phone appears to be similar to the current C902 Cybershot with updated software (Java Platform 8.4, also on their much anticipated, much delayed 8MP C905). Leave it to Sony to put 720p HD recording into the hands (or shall we say, the pocket) of the masses. Starting tomorrow the 29th, Sony’s latest addition to their Cybershot line of Point and Shoot cameras, the DSC-T500, will be available for pre-order.
