HTC has a press event scheduled for Thursday evening during the IFA trade show in Berlin, and purported specs for two phones BGR exclusively reported will make their debut, the Eternity and Omega, have been leaked by BuyMobilePhones. The HTC Eternity appears to be the more refined of the two devices and is said to be equipped with a single-core 1.5GHz processor, 16GB of storage, a 1,650 mAh battery, support for 14.2Mbps HSDPA networks, an 8-megapixel camera capable of recording 720p video and a 1.3-megapxiel camera for video chats. The HTC Omega reportedly has a 3.8-inch display, a 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon processor, 512MB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera and support for 14.2Mbps HSDPA networks. It is unclear if the Omega also has a front-facing camera, but given Mango’s support for video chat, we suspect that it does and we’ll certainly learn more during HTC’s press conference later today.

Images of a new HTC phone that’s currently being dubbed “Eternity” have apparently been leaked online. Reportedly it will land as one of the first Windows Phone Mango devices, which are set to begin launching this fall. Reportedly, the Eternity will be powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor and will come equipped with a 4.7-inch AMOLED display — a monster of a screen. Rumor has it there’s also an 8-megapixel camera, HDMI-out, 16GB of onboard storage, a 1.3-megapixel camera for video chats, 512MB of RAM, and a 1,650 mAh battery. The form factor reminds us of the HTC EVO 4G, the Inspire 4G, and the HD7, which are starting to feel a bit stale. There’s no word on when the Eternity will make its debut, but as we said earlier, we have a hunch it could be sometime this fall.

Next up from the deck that keeps on giving is the Samsung Infinity. Hardly as exciting as some of the other handsets we’ve seen from this deck, the Infinity is presumably set to replace the Samsung Eternity — whose name, by the way, now looks to be a blatant lie. Spec highlights for the Infinity include quad-band GSM/EDGE and dual-band UMTS, a low-grade 3-inch touchscreen display that’s hardly on par with Sammy’s recent AMOLEDs, 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, aGPS and a 1,000 mAh battery. Ok, so we’ve apparently hit the dregs of this slide deck but it was fun while it lasted… And the Infinity will definitely make a decent affordable tween phone when it drops sometime in 2H.

It looks like Samsung fans looking to re-up with AT&T or open a new account are in for a hell of a deal next month. Word from one of our ninjas has the carrier kicking off a killer BOGO promotion on April 7th and it’s all about Sammy this time around. The news also solidifies a launch time frame for the sexy upcoming Samsung A877, which will be dubbed the Samsung Impression. We now know it will be on shelves by the 7th in time for this promo so we’re guessing it will be launched some time before or around CTIA. You know, to ensure early adopters pay full price. Here’s what we’ve got:

Sure, the timing might be a little delayed according to the internal AT&T email we showed you last month, but sure enough the Samsung A867 aka Eternity is alive and well. Thanks to one of our trusty ninjas, we’ve got a bunch of live photos for you to soak in along with all the info you need to decide whether or not this puppy will make it to your holiday shopping list. First off, we already know the price is set at $99 after a $50 mail-in rebate thanks to the email linked above. We also know that the target release date was November 4th, which of course has passed. Our ninja gave word that AT&T stores have the green light to start selling the Eternity as soon as shipments come in, which should be very soon. As far as spec highlights are concerned, you’re looking at 3G, MediaFLO for some full screen TV love, GPS nav via AT&T Navigator, and a 3 megapixel camera as opposed to the rumored 5 megapixel shooter. The Eternity also comes packing the TouchWiz UI we know and love, and the display is nice and crisp. There’s even a great little auto-rotation feature for messaging that presents you with a nice big full screen QWERTY. You listening, Cupertino? If you’re in the market for a multimedia-crunching touchscreen handset on the cheap, look no further. It looks like Samsung has a busy schedule coming up here in the US and while it goes without saying that we’ll be missing out on the cream of Samsung’s crop, there are definitely a few gems in store from our South Korean pals. Then again, as much as it has been delayed thus far AT&T may just be holding the spot without any real indication that it will be ready in time. Fingers = crossed.

The Samsung Mirage, er… Eternity or whatever they end up calling it has been spotted in the wild. Looks like a pretty nice touch screen so far, much like the Omnia. Whether Samsung is trying to confuse everyone with all the numbers, or the constant change in names (if the names have actually been decided upon), one thing is for sure – all you Samsung fans out there have a lot to look forward to! It seems this phone will be a direct competitor to the LG Vu that AT&T is currently carrying as the A867 will have MediaFLO support. Other specs include a 3MP camera, 16GB expandable storage (perfect for the 16GB microSD cards SanDisk just busted out with a while back), AGPS, and a 3.5mm headset jack so you can use most of your favorite headphones for this bad boy. Look for it next month where it will likely run about $150 with contract and maybe a mail-in-rebate. We’ve also heard rumors that the LG Vu was in fact about to be end-of-lifed, so get ready for some turf wars.
