Reports are beginning to mount from iPod touch owners who are experiencing an odd graphics issue on their devices after updating to iOS 4.3. Screen sections of affected iPods seem to flicker and distort, almost as if the device is having a refresh rate or redraw issue. Some users are reporting that their screens appear “snowy” or “fuzzy.” There is a thread on the company’s discussion board where affected users are airing out their concerns; Apple has yes to publicly acknowledge the issue. There isn’t a whole lot of information that goes along with this particular photograph, but we thought it was worth mentioning. Blog mobilesguruji.co.cc has acquired the above image, showing Nokia’s unreleased and unannounced E6 smartphone. With a candybar-style layout akin to the E7x and touchscreen display, the device looks poised to replace the aging E72 in the Finnish company’s handset lineup. The report notes that the device is running a slightly modified version of Symbian with four home screens (as opposed to the standard three) and an updated icon/widget configuration. Pretty standard fare from the pre-Windows Phone Nokia… we’re interested to see what the company will be cooking up in the post-Windows Phone months to come.

RIM has posted some additional screen shots of their yet-to-be-released-or-have-a-release-date-announced BlackBerry 6 operating system. You may recall that earlier in the month RIM provided a few screen shots displaying some of BlackBerry 6′s media capabilities. This particular post is from Douglas Soltys, he interviews RIM’s Director in the User Experience group, Joey Benedek, who shows off the new OS’ “home screen evolution.” Hit the read link to see all the goodies, and do let us know what you think.

We have to be perfectly honest with you — it’s been a long time since any of us bothered to play with our Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. A really long time. The handset was a bit dated before it even came to market and it has been a tiny bit difficult to keep caring about it. It’s definitely a milestone device though — Nokia’s first S60 5th Edition phone and a sign that that company is in fact trying to keep up with the times, to some extent — so we feel obligated to cover it once in a while. Like now: Nokia Malaysia reportedly held a meet and greet recently at which several tasty tidbits regarding the 5800 XM were revealed. Long story short, a bunch of the neat little features found in the 5530 XM are supposedly headed to the 5800 XM in a new firmware update due out some time in the future. Notables:

• Kinetic scrolling
• Improved camera performance
• Enhanced home screen (like the N97)
• Improved response time

So if you’re still enjoying your 5800 XM but you’ve been waiting for these improvements to make your life whole again, hopefully this rumor will pan out sooner rather than later.
