Motorola has pushed out Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) to the Motorola ATRIX 4G. The update adds a number of new enhancements unrelated to Gingerbread, including support for 1080p HD video playback, a re-designed home screen with white backgrounds for easier reading of text, an enhanced photo gallery, the ability to dismiss notifications one at a time, a faster Webtop browsing experience, enhancements to the dock icons and more. Symbian released the source code for the S^4 homescreen application on Friday and posted up a gallery of images that provides a quick glimpse of the UI for the next generation Symbian operating system. The screengrabs show the homescreen with a clock widget, application categories, search, wallpaper selector, and more. One image is above and the remaining six are after the jump. Symbian fans looking forward to the S^4 release can get a sneak peek at the interface for this upcoming OS courtesy of YouTube member mdanofierce. The two b-roll style S^4 videos appear to be recorded from an emulator and reveal a multiple homescreen, touch-based interface that is peppered with widgets and a full-screen photo album application with a collapsible menu toolbar.
