Apple is reportedly planning to refresh its iMac family of computers with Intel’s 22nm-based Core i5 and Core i7 Ivy Bridge processors in June or July, How To Arena reported on Wednesday, citing a “reliable tipster” in Apple’s supply chain. The Cupertino-based company is also reportedly ramping up production in preparation for thinner 13- and 15-inch MacBook Pro models, which will use the same Ivy Bridge processors. Previous rumors have suggested that Apple’s redesigned iMac would...

How To Arena on Thursday cited a “reliable source in the Far East Asian supply chain” who claims Apple is planning to release a new, thinner 15-inch MacBook Pro by the end of April. The rumor corresponds with a report from Wednesday and an earlier rumor from DigiTimes. The reports differ in one key area, however, with confusion surrounding whether the 15-inch model will be an ultra-thin MacBook Pro with Air-like features or a 15-inch MacBook Air model. According to How To Arena‘s source, t...

For a company that goes on and on and on and on and on to infinity about how well its products are made, Apple sure has a disaster on its hands in the 27″ iMac. As many of you no doubt recall, the market-place introduction of the monstrously large desktop computer was rather disastrous as 27-inchers that didn’t happen to emerge from their boxes bearing a striking resemblance to Humpty Dumpty after his fall would either be suffering from screen flickering or a bad case of jaundice. Apple tried to f...

As if waiting weeks to receive a custom ordered Core i7 iMac wasn’t bad enough, Apple forums the world wide web over are filling up with reports of computers showing up with broken displays an/or simply not booting up. Giz seems to think that the packaging might be inadequate for the 27″ behemoths and the bumpy journey from China to Anytown, USA is what’s causing the issue, but one would like to think that Apple, the masters of packaging, wouldn’t make such an amateur mistake. Thankful...
