Sunday is a banner day for Sprint which added not only the Treo Pro, but also the LG Rumor 2 and the Motorola Stature i9 to its handset lineup. The QWERTY-slider LG Rumor 2 is available both online and in stores for a rock bottom price of $49.99 after an instant savings of $150 and a $50 mail-in rebate. The Rumor 2, as you surely know by now, sports a QVGA display, 1.3 megapixel camera, GPS, stereo Bluetooth, microSDHC support (up to 16GB) and a 2.5mm headphone jack. Next up is the Nextel Direct Connect-compatible Stature i9, available for $199.99 after an instant savings of $150 and a $50 mail-in rebate. The Stature has already made its debut on Boost Mobile and offers a 3.1 megapixel camera with flash and auto focus, integrated music player, GPS, Bluetooth and rock solid PTT functionality. A screen grab of the inventory list at Brighpoint reveals the launch dates of some upcoming Sprint phones and serves to further validate some of our previously leaked launch dates. Here is the rundown:

• Palm Treo Pro: Officially announced for March 15th and listed as such on the document, adding validity to the document. SRP of $549.99.
• LG Rumor 2: Previously rumored to be hitting the shelves in March, this document suggests that the Rumor 2 may be hitting the shelves on March 15th in Black and possible March 29th in Blue. The bottom of the document is cutoff so this is pure speculation on the blue model.
• Motorola i580: available starting March 15th. SRP of $269.99.
• Motorola Stature i9: Already available from Boost Mobile, the i9 may grace the shelves of Sprint on the 15th of March as well. SRP of $299.99.
• BlackBerry Curve 8350i, camera-less version: Launch date to be determined. SRP of $479.99.

If the launch dates on this document hold true, Sprint will have several new phones for your purchasing pleasure in a mere 10 days. No sign of the Instinct Mini or Pre of course but hey, it’s better than nothing. Hit the jump for the full document.

We’ve been following the Motorola i9 here on BGR since it was just a glimmer in its Boost’s eye. It was finally made official by Sprint / Boost Mobile earlier this month and now we’re closer than ever to Boost’s sleekest handset yet becoming a reality. As you can see, the i9 is now live on the site and while it’s listed as coming soon you can expect that to change to a buy now link before you know it. No real surprises here as the specs and pricing are old news but it’ll be nice to finally see a modern phone come to market from Boost. Maybe we’ll send one Fat Joe’s way… Anyone else getting ready to shell out $300 for this bad boy?

A little over a week ago a Boost flyer advertising its new unlimited all-you-eat plan hinted that the i9 was “coming soon”. The wait is now over as Sprint and Boost Mobile officially announced the new Motorola Stature i9. The ultra slim i9 is a mere 15mm thick and sports a touch sensitive exterior flip with ModeShift that changes the exterior keys based upon the user’s current application. The i9 also packs a 3.1MP camera with flash and auto focus, integrated music player, GPS, Bluetooth and, being an iDEN phone, rock solid PTT functionality. The new Moto will be available for Boost Mobile towards the end of February with Sprint getting the device soon thereafter. It will set you back $299 from Boost Mobile without a contract (ouch) and $199 from Sprint Nextel after a $50 mail-in-rebate and a 2 year agreement.

At this point, provided you live in an area well-covered by Sprint Nextel’s iDEN network, mobile users who don’t have a requirement for a smartphone might be considered crazy not to take advantage of Boost Mobile’s new unlimited plan. $50, everything, all you can eat – don’t expect larger carriers to touch it any time soon. That said, one of the issues possibly preventing customers from heading to Boost is the lack of an exciting handset inventory but from the looks of things Boost is trying to remedy that. Sure the RAZR design is about 350 years old at this point, but the i9 is still a sexy new ModeShift-sporting, PTT-ready handset that will soon be making its way to Boost. You remember the i9, we showed it to you back in October. We had a pretty good idea it was coming to Boost Mobile but a new flier for the Boost unlimited plan might point to a release in the very close future. Well look who decided to come back and poke its head out again. The Motorola i9 we first showed you live images of back in October is making news again as official pics begin to scatter across the internet. This sweet-looking love child of a rambunctious RAZR and ROKR is apparently gearing up for a release soon and it will likely be well received among the dumbphone crowd, assuming the price is right. A 3 megapixel camera with auto focus and flash, ModeShift and integrated GPS are among the features that might draw in Sprint customers. So, iDEN people, first the 8350i is made official and now this – you guys feeling the love or are both the handsets already old news?

What do you get when a rambunctious RAZR and a ROKR in heat are left along in the same room? You’re looking at it. The first taste of Motorola’s next generation RAZR has finally been caught in the wild and it should be making its way to a Sprint store near you sooner than some might have thought. Last week we saw the Motorola i9 RAZR pass through the FCC and now your old pal’s at BGR have managed to score a few action shots of the i9, well, making its way around some guy’s basement (damn, that’s a lot of drinks dude). In spite of the fact that this is yet another RAZR from Motorola, it actually looks pretty sweet. It was only a matter of time before ModeShift found its way to Moto’s skinny clam shell and now that it has, we kind of want to play with it. Soon people, soon. Hit the jump for two more shots.

The FCC strikes again. Sprint customers who still get their iDEN on should be happy to learn the upcoming Motorola i9, first seen back in May with the name Motorola i890 “CABO”, has just made its way through the FCC approval process and it’s ready to go. Actually, the i9 is something a little new from Moto – no, Motorola isn’t dropping the RAZR form factor anytime soon but this time they’ve thrown some ModeShift into the mix. Yep, the cool backlit buttons found on the ROKR E8 and other models can also be seen on the i9. If you’ve yet to play with a ModeShift-enabled Moto, it’s actually pretty cool. Button labels are displayed via the keypad backlight and the labels and function of certain buttons changes according to the area of the UI you’re in. Toss some haptic feedback into the mix and you’ve got ModeShift. Other i9 spec highlights include a 3.1 megapixel camera, integrated GPS and stereo Bluetooth. No word yet on when the i9 might drop or where pricing will be but smart money is on a pre-holiday release.
